제목 Thermal and mechanical properties of syndiotatic 1,2-polybutadiene/multiwalled carbon nanotube nanocomposites
초록 Syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene with low crystallinity is a typical thermoplastic elastomer. In this study, syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene(1,2-PBD)/multiwalled carbon nanotube(MWNT) nanocomposites were prepared by solution blending. A nanoscaled dispersion of the MWNT in the polymer matrix was confirmed by TEM.Thermomechanical properties of the nanocomposites were investigated by means of DMA, DSC and tensile testing. DMA and tensile test revealed that addition of small amount of the MWNT enhanced the tensile modulus of the 1,2-PBD without the loss of extensibility. DSC results indicated that MWNT induced an increase in the nonisothermal crystallization rate of the polymer.
