Fiber-particle composite scaffolds in-situ prepared by electrohydrodynamic jetting |
초록 |
Extracellular matix(ECM)-mimetic scaffold provides an environment to support cellular attachment and proliferation. EJC (electrohydrodynamic jetting of counter charged nozzles) can be useful to make the scaffold by attaching functional particles containing growth factors (proteins) onto the surface of fiber. Using lysozyme as a model protein, PLGA encapsulation particles having the protein were combined with PLA fiber mat. We investigated the interactions between particles and fibers using the different volume ratio of mixed solvent for particle formation. SEM observation showed that the particles were well dispersed onto the surface of fibers. Confocal images gave evidence of even distribution of protein in particles. The scaffold provided a controlled and sustained release profile in vitro. These particle-fiber composites may be valuable for advanced ECM mimetic scaffolds since it have both well-designed chemical and physical functions. |
