In this study, we prepared two type organic-inorganic hybrid capsules with double layered shell. All capsules consisted of aliphatic hydrocarbon as a core material, melamine-formaldehyde as an organic shell material and SiO2 as an inorganic shell material. First type capsule is prepared as a 400nm sized nanocapsule which has SiO2 shell layer formed between core and melamine-formaldehyde shell. This capsule synthesized through emulsion polymerization followed by hydrolysis of precousor in the core materials. The second type capsule has SiO2 shell layer formed outside of melamine-formaldehyde shell. This capsule prepared two step hydrolytic coating procedures with sodium silicate. Shape of the synthesized two type microcapsules were observed by optical microscope, SEM and TEM. The double layered structure was investigated by TEM-EDS and TGA. |
