제목 Transdermal delivery of hollow gold nanosphere-peptide conjugate for photothermal lipolysis obesity therapy
초록 Obesity is known as a major cause of several severe diseases, such as metabolic disorder, cancer and heart diseases. As excessive fat is accumulated in white adipose tissues, a therapy to target the abnormal fatty region is necessary. In this work, we developed hyaluronic acid (HA) conjugated hollow gold nanosphere (HAuNS) with adipocyte targeting peptide to photothermally ablate adipocyte tissues. HA modified with end-thiol group (HA-SH) stabilized HAuNS and facilitated transdermal delivery of the complex. The characteristics of HA-HAuNS/peptide complex were analyzed by DLS analysis, UV-Vis absorption spectra and TEM imaging. In vitro cellular uptake to 3T3-L1 mature adipocytes was confirmed by dark-field imaging. After HA-HAuNS/peptide complex was administered on the abdominal skin, silver enhancement staining could visualize the distribution of the complex within skin tissue. Taken together, we could develop the novel adipocyte-targeting complex for photothermal lipolysis therapy.
