제목 Carbon-coated silicon nanoparticle/carbon nanosphere composite electrode for high performance lithium-ion battery.
초록 The uniform diffusion of Si materials in a carbon matrix while retaining the nanomorphology of Si is required to accomplish higher performance lithium-ion batteries. Carbon-coated silicon nanoparticles embedded in carbon nanosphere matrix(C-SNP/CSs) were cogragated by a simple mixing approach. We acquired high silicon contents up to 56 wt% for the composite electrodes. The C-SNP/CS anodes carried a specific capacity of 1230 mAh/g for 56wt% Si and 73% of capacity retention at 0.8A/g after 150 cycles, while the C-SNPs without CSs displayed only 32% retention. The high cycle stability shows that the CSs reduced the mechanical stress from the large volume changes of Si and provided the high electrical conductivitiy of the elctrodes, supplied by the congregated mrophology the CSs and C-SNP. The use of CSs with C-SNPs is a facile method to acquire a uniformlydiffused compound and can be easily scaled for functional applications.
