Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have great potential due to their low-cost solution processing, light weight and flexibility. As is well known, among various interlayers, the PEDOT:PSS has been widely employed as a hole extraction layer, because it shows solution-processability, high conductivity, excellent transparency, and suitable work function with various conjugated polymer-based donor materials. However, the PEDOT:PSS could not be ideal interlayers due to its acidic and hydroscopic natures to induce a poor device life-time. For this reason, we have developed a novel and effective metal oxide-based interlayer to replace the PEDOT:PSS perfectly. In this work, we will introduce a facile but effective method to fabricate a novel metal oxide-based interlayer and also will discuss its effect on OPV-performances. |
