제목 Uniaxial micro-patterned crystallization of triisopropylsilylethynyl pentacene using capillary force lithography for organic thin film transistor
초록 Well aligned and patterned small-molecule organic semiconductor micro/nanocrystals are needed to fabricate the high-performance electronic devices. Here, we report the fabrication and morphological analysis of micro-patterned 6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS-PEN) crystals for use in organic thin film transistor. TIPS-PEN crystals were micro-patterned by capillary force lithography (CFL) with UV-curable polyurethane acrylate molds. The lateral confinement during CFL restricted the growth direction of crystals, resulting in highly ordered crystal alignment. The improvement of crystal alignment was discernible that the grain sizes drastically decreased and their non-preferential crystal growth direction transformed uniaxial while reducing line widths from 100 to 5μm. When 5μm, the smallest pattern width, the highly aligned single crystals were observed and the field-effect mobility was as high as 1.66 cm2/V∙s evaluated with typical bottom gate, top contact OTFTs.
