Electronic skin (e-skin) is promising device to be leading to next generation. Such e-skin need stretchable power source which can endure various motion on human skin for stable operation. However, battery, commonly used as power source, consists mostly hard. Energy harvesting e-skin patch which generate electricity through the Seebeck effect is one of promising manner to solve these problems. Here, we present a thermoelectric carbon nanotube (CNT) clay consisting of CNT and Triton X-100, viscous surfactant, for making energy harvesting e-skin patch. To optimize mechanical and electrical properties of CNT clay, we controlled contents of Triton X-100 and chemical dopants, respectively. Therefore, we obtained reconfigurable thermoelectric CNT clays with 9.08 x 10-3 and 8.64 x 10-3 of ZT value of n-type and p-type CNT clay, respectively. Finally, a thermoelectric e-skin patch with CNT clays was fabricated and we confirm its stable operation under severally harsh conditions. |
