Electrochemical properties of capacitor by thickness of PEDOT thin film as the electrode material |

In this study, Symmetric redox supercapacitor using poly(3,4-ehthylene dioxythiophene) (PEDOT) as a counter electrode was fabricated using 0.1M lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) in propylene carbonate(PC) and Acetonitrile(AC) solution as electrolyte solution. We measured electrochemical properties of PEDOT thin film such as specific capacitance, capacitance, coulombic efficiency by thickness of PEDOT thin film. The supercapacitor using PEDOT thin film as the electrode showed that capacitance was stable even after 100 cycles. Acetonitrile(AC) as electrolyte solution was higher specific capacitance than propylene carbonate(PC) in room temperature. It is interesting that spacific capcacitance was increased as thin as thickness of PEDOT film but capacitance was reduced. |
