제목 NIR-Triggered Upconversion Nanoparticles for Cancer Therapy and Imaging
초록 Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is increasingly recognized as a promising treatment for a variety of oncological, cardiovascular, dermatological, and ophthalmic diseases. However, a major drawback in the current therapy is the limited penetration depth due to the light absorption and scattering by biological tissues, resulting in ineffective therapeutic effects. In our study, upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) with hexagonal phase were synthesized and they used for NIR-triggered PDT action. Then, we employed folic acid-conjugated biocompatible block copolymers to improve their stability, and high efficient commercial PSs were conjugated to the stable UCNPs. The composition, optical property and morphology of UCNP-based nanomedicine were investigated. Cellular uptake and phototoxicity against MCF 7 and A549 cells under 980nm laser irradiation were also investigated.
