We introduce a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) using layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly-induced nano/microstructure with keeping electric performance stable in a broad range of humidity surroundings. In this study, LbL assembly methods with following acid treatment enable preparing the porous (poly(allyamine hydrochloride) (PAH)/ poly(acrylic acid) (PAA))n multilayer films that were used as a template for a embossed poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) replica. The electrical performance of TENGs composed with a PDMS film and Al electrodes was determined by the protuberance size of PDMS. Specifically, the PDMS films which prepared from the LbL-assembled (1.5 mg·mL-1 PAH/0.5 mg·mL-1 PAA)20 multilayers with acid treatment, showed a high electrical performance of 242 V and 16.2 μA·cm-2 (in relative humidity (RH) of 20%). Moreover, this device presented relatively noticeable electrical output in humid condition (20% decrease of performance at 80% RH) compared to that of pristine PDMS films. |
