Preparation and characterization of high performance multi-layered ion-exchange polymeric membranes |
| 초록 |
We have developed a novel type of ion-exchange polymeric membranes, i.e. multi-layered ion-exchange membranes. Thin base membranes with the thickness of about 25 μm were prepared by a pore-filling method using highly porous battery separator films as the substrate. The base membranes were functionalized and then coated with ion-conducting polymer solutions for the enhancement of the selectivity for special ions and the mechanical property for easy handling. The prepared ion-exchange membranes showed excellent electrochemical properties and mechanical strength.
