Various types of porous materials, including activated carbon, zeolites, metal oxides, and metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have been reported as representative adsorbents for chemical warfare agents to protect against exposure threats. Especially, MOFs have many advantages such as high surface area, open metal sites (OMS) and facile control of pore size by changing the linkage of the inorganic part and the properties of the organic linker. Thus, broad research has been conducted on adsorption and separation of gases and liquid components using MOFs. Among various MOFs, Zirconium-based MOFs generally have high stability due to the high coordination number of the MOF nodes and the high strength of node-linker bonds. And in MOF-808, Zr6 cluster nodes, defects, and OMS can be utilized as the adsorption sites. In this study, the micro-scale breakthrough adsorption of DMMP using MOF-808 under dry and RH 10% condition and DMMP adsorption sites were analyzed through in situ, operando FT-IR. |
