제목 Synthesis and Characterization of a Photosensitive LC Alignment Layer with Four Different Photosensitive Groups.
초록 Rubbing process may cause static charge, dust or scratches, which lower the production yield of LCDs. To solve this problems, photoalignment techniques using a linear polarized UV (LPUV) have been developed. In this study, we had synthesized the poly amic acids (PAA) from four different photosensitive diamine to compare the photosensitivity and the electro - optic properties as a LC photo alignment layer. Photosensitive diamines have a cinnamoyl derivative. The PAAs were synthesized from cyclobutane - 1,2,3,4 - tetracarboxylic dianhydride (CBDA) and 4,4- diaminodiphenylmethane (MDA) and photosensitive diamine in NMP respectively. We had investigated the photosensitivity using UV/vis spectroscopy. Also, we determined the electro-optic properties of LC cells that fabricated by the photo-aligned films, such as a voltage holding ratio (VHR), a residual direct voltage (RDC) and pretilt angle. Further, we will discuss a LC direction using FT-IR and optic system.
