Topological phases of matters are initially explored in condensed matter physics and open the possibility to propagate light robustly in photonic system. In this poster presentation, we present a chiral photonic crystal which contains two superlattices with opposite chirality. We calculate bulk and edge dispersion by using a coupled dipole method. When the inversion symmetry is broken due to difference of chirality, spin-valley locked edge states are shown. Spin-valley locking characteristic enables to control light propagation with multiple degrees of freedom and can be applied to various fields such as spintronics. |
