Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method is known as the most proper synthetic method to produce high quality graphene in large area. In order to take advantage of excellent physical properties of graphene, defect-free transfer of graphene is crucial. However, since graphene has one atomic thickness (~ 0.3 nm), monolayer graphene sheets are very susceptible to mechanical shock during the transfer process. Thus, defect-free graphene transfer in large area is challenging. In this study, we introduced a polymeric layer on graphene to mitigate the physical damages which occur during lamination step in the transfer process. The result showed that pre-coated polymeric layer could efficiently prevent damages on graphene. As transferred graphene showed relatively low sheet resistance which refers to the less defects. Moreover, it showed possibility for defect-free graphene transfer in roll-to-roll process application. |
