The effect of nano structured template for conducting polymer based electrochromic device was examined. The nano templates were prepared in three types – block copolymer based nano domains, TiO2 nanoparticles, and gold tipped silicon nanowires, and conducting polymer layer was deposited by chemical or electrochemical polymerization. All solid state electrochromic devices were fabricated using the nano structured electrodes. The response time was dependant on the template structure which can possibly affect electroactive surface area and electric charge accessibility to the surface. Effect of the nanotemplates for polymer structure and electrochromic properties will be discussed. |
