Noble metal hollow particles have been received considerable attention in many industrial fields over the past few decades, due to their conspicuous properties, such as low density, large specific surface area, and prominent optical activities and price competiveness. In this study, a simple method for the preparation of silver hollow particles was introduced. As a template, poly(vinylamine) has been applied in which the amine functional groups played an important role in the forming PVAm/silver core-shell structure. Compact silver nanoshells on polymer latex have been fabricated via electroless plating methods using attraction between amine group and silver ion. |
