PVDF/GNP hybrid films for flexible thermoelectric applications |

According to the increasing demands on sustainable energy resources, thermoelectric devices have attracted much interest from academic and industrial fields. Recently, studies on thermoelectric devices based on organic or organic/inorganic hybrid materials have demonstrated their increasing potential applications such as flexible and lightweight personal electronics. In this study, thermoelectric hybrid films were prepared from poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF) and graphite nanoplatelet (GNP) using solvent casting method. And single wall nanotube (SWNT) was also added to the hybrids with indicating the synergistic effect on the electrical conductivity. Minimum amount of ionic liquid was used as a dispersant to prevent the electrical conductivity reduction. The hybrid films from GNP and SWNT show the higher electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient and power factor compared to the those from GNP. |
