Solid lipid microparticles (SLM), mainly used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and medical were studied by loading calcium chloride to prepare ion-sensitive and temperature-sensitive microparticles. SLM were prepared by an emulsification and solidification method using stearic acid (SA) used as lipid and Tween 20(0.5%, w/v) as a stabilizer. Calcium chloride powder was dispered in mixture of 65% span 80 and 35% tween 80 in weight ratio and added to molten SA. The size of micropaticles was 50 to 100 μm which was highly depended on concentration of CaCl2 and dispered condition. Moreover, due to the melting point of SA, SLM would response to temperature which was confirmed by DSC and size distribution. |
