제목 Synthesis and analysis of asymmetric (ABA)n Star Block Copolymer
초록 We synthesized and investigated 6-arm star-shaped poly(methyl methacrylate)-block-polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) [(PMMA-b-PS-b-PMMA)6] by core-first method. The molecular weight of core PMMA is much smaller than shell PMMA, which means that star triblock copolymers are composed of asymmetric triblock copolymer. Because the small PMMA chains are linked at the core, the distance between each PS domains is restricted. This makes the difference of microdomains between linear asymmetric triblock copolymer and star-shaped asymmetric triblock copolymer. Especially, the tetragonal cylinder which have not been observed for linear triblock copolymer could be seen for star-shaped triblock copolymer. Those block copolymers were characterized by gel permeation chromatography and nuclear magnetic resonance.
