제목 Surface Modification and Patterning via New Type of Crosslinkable Random Copolymers
초록 New types of crosslinkable random copolymers, PS-r-P(S-N3)-r-PMMA, were synthesized to prepare surfaces with balanced surface interaction. Controlled living radical polymerization was employed in the synthesis and enabled the introduction of azide groups, which can be used for both thermal- and photo-crosslinking. It was found that the thermal-crosslinking by azide group is as effective as benzocyclobutene group. The new aspect of this material is the photo-crosslinking – it is also simple, rapid and robust, and only a few minutes of UV irradiation are required in this process, which is comparable to the case of the thermal-crosslinking. Furthermore, the use of UV irradiation for crosslinking makes it possible to prepare patterned surfaces via conventional lithographic processes. This enables the convergence of the “bottom-up” self-assembly of block copolymer approach and “top-down” photolithographic method.
