Phenothiazine (PT) and triphenylamine (TPA) are well known good hole injection/transporting material due to their high HOMO energy level. Therefore, phenothiazine-triphenylamine based copolymers are expected to reduce the hole-injection barrier between ITO and copolymers in the devices. However, polymers based on PT and TPA have low luminous efficiency because electron injection/transporting is more difficult than that of hole injection/transporting. In order to improve electron injection/transporting properties, we introduce aromatic 1,3,4-oxadiazole (OXD) in the polymer backbone as the side chain. In this presentation, we will report synthesis, optical, electrochemical and electroluminescent properties of PT-TPA based copolymers with OXD pendant. |
