제목 Enhanced lifetime of the photoluminescent polymer nanocomposites doped with gold nanoparticles
초록 For polymer EL to be commercialized , lifetime is a crucial factor, especially, lifetime of blue-emitting polymer is very important issue. For blue-emitting polymer, lifetime is very short due to their high energy of excitation and emission light. Lifetime of the EL and PL in many conjugated polymers begins with the formation of singlet oxygen via energy transfer from long-lived triplet excitons, resulting in chain scission and carbonyl defect formation on the polymer chain ends. For polyfluorene, blue-emitting EL polymer, the triplet state is matched with the optical absorption peak of gold nanoparticles. We have prepared polyfluorene nanocomposite films doped with Au nanoparticles prepared by the novel method and characterized their PL and EL lifetimes.
