Fabrication of Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Materials |

Hybridizing inorganic nanostructured materials with polymers is a good strategy to provide multifunctions in a single material or to obtain a new property that is not obtainable from single-component materials. This talk will deal with nano- or micro-sized polymeric hybrid materials embedding nanostructured inorganic materials. The first part will present polymer thin films in which semicoductor nanowires grow in-situ and form a semiconductor network. Employing the thin film in OTFT will be mentioned as one of the possible applications to achieve the ultimate goal of OTFTs such as high carrier mobility, flexibility, and long-term stability. The second part will address the production of the polymeric colloids and fibers involving inorganic nanostructures. Structural control and composition variation of the hybrid materials will be discussed in detail. |
