제목 ASES Crystallization of Biodegradable Polymer Using Supercritical CO2 as an Anti-solvent
초록 The application of supercritical fluids for processing of pharmaceuticals has considerable interest in recent years. Some of the most recent studies have involved the use of supercritical fluids technology for the processing of the biodegradable polymers such as L-polylactic acid(L-PLA), polyglycolic acid(PGA), polycaprolactone(PCL)-all of which have been used extensively in the medical industry as carriers of pharmaceuticals.
Micro particles of polylactic acid(PLA) were generated by aerosol solvent extraction system(ASES) using supercritical CO2 as an anti-solvent. The experimentswere performed by changing variables such as pressure(75-150bar), temperature(25-40℃), initial concentration(0.3-3wt%), solution flow rate (0.3-2.3ml/min). And nozzle diameter was kept unchanged in the all of the experiments that were carried out. It was found that ASES gives fine particle size and size distribution by simple operation of the process parameters. The particle size and morphology were studied using Scanning Election Microscopy(SEM).
