Poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(L-lactide) are widely used as biomaterials because of their biocompatible and biodegradable properties. In this study, we synthesized a PEG-PLLA multiblock copolymer whose aqueous solution undergoes sol-to-gel transition as the temperature increases. Because there are only L-type stereo-compounds in our body, the degraded materials from this Hydrogel are expected to be more biocompatible than DL-form. We investigated the sol-gel transition by NMR, IR, rheometer, light scattering and gel permeation chromatography. |
