제목 The frequency effects on the electro-optical properties of PDLC films
초록 Since PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) films is found, the electro-optic and other properties of PDLC films have been studied extensively by many researchers.
In our study, the frequency effects on the electro-optical properties of PDLC films are studied. PDLC films are prepared by polmer induced phase separation process(PIPS) at several temperature. Norland optical adhesive(NOA-65) and E7 are used as a prepolymer and liquid crystals, respectively. Morphology of PDLC films is observed by polarity optical microscopy and a comprehesive investigation is performed on the electro-optical perperties of PDLC films.
Conductance and dielectric constant of PDLC films are measured at various frequencies and the correlations with transmittances are studied. It shows that the optimum transmittances of PDLC films exist near a few KHz.
