The Flory-Huggins Interaction Parameters of PS-b-P2VP and PS-b-P4VP |

The order-to-disorder transition temperature (TODT) of polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinylpridine) copolymer (PS-P2VP) was experimentally found to be much lower than that of polystyrene-block-poly(4-vinylpridine) copolymer (PS-P4VP). In this study, we try to explain this difference by using temperature-dependent segmental interaction parameter χ between PS and P2VP, and that between PS and P4VP. This was measured by using small angle X-ray scattering with random phase approximation and turbidity measurement based on the Flory-Huggins theory. |
