제목 Effect of anti-oxidants and thermal treatment on radiation resistance of irradiated polypropylene
초록 The effects of anti-oxidants and thermal treatment on radiation resistance of the irradiated polypropylene(PP) were investigated. Homo, random, block PP with different structure were selected as the polymer matrix in this work. Various kinds of anti-oxidants such as Irganox 1010, Irganox 1076, Irgastab, Ethanox 398, and Millad 3998 as nucleating agent were used. The PP and antioxidants were mixed in a Brabender Plastograph at 200℃ for 6 min. The PP sheet was irradiated with gamma ray to a dosage of 25 kGy. Following the irradiation, the PP sheet was thermal-treated at 130℃ for 30 min to remove the remaining free radicals. Measurement of color and tensile strength of the irradiated PP with anti-oxidant after irradiation were undertaken to investigate the radiation resistance of the irradiated PP.
