Organic bulkheterojunction photovaoltaics based on poly(3-hexylthiophene) and pyran-4-ylidene-2-cyanoacetate derivatives |

The effect of annealing and fullerene loading on poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and 1-(3-methoxycarbonyl)-propyl-1-(6,6)C61(PCBM) based bulkheterojunction photovaoltaics(PV) have been investigated. The novel dyes, Pyran-4-ylidene-2-cyanoacetate derivatives(dye#) were synthesized and mixed with the P3HT and PCBM blend matrix or deposited on P3HT:PCBM(1:1 w.%) film for the fabrication of organic PV cells. The films were deposited via spin coating from solution and vacuum evaporation. The structures of the PV cells were ITO/PSS:PEDOT/P3HT:PCBM/Al(Structure I), ITO/PSS:PEDOT/P3HT:PCBM/dye#/Al (Structure Ⅱ), and ITO/PSS:PEDOT/P3HT:PCBM:dye#/Al electrode (StructureⅢ). Their opto-electronic properties also measured with current-voltage measurement system equipped with 1000W solar simulator with AM 1.5 filter as a light source. The power conversion ficiency has been improved through the use of new dyes and the change of the device structures. |
