In this study, a process for the preparation of microporous carbon as an electrodewas performed by pyrolysis of PVDF at various temperatures. The specific surface area and pore volume of the microporous carbons were independent on the temperature, reach about 1000 m2 g-1 and 0.45 cm3 g-1, respectively. Nevertheless, the microporous carbon prepared at lower temperature exhibited an ideal cyclic voltammogram curve and higher specific capacitance in 6 M KOH. It was suggested that the capacitive behaviors of microporous carbon were influenced by the contribution of both electric double-layer capacitance and pseudo-capacitance from the residual fluoride. |
