제목 Rapid swelling kinetics of nanoporous chitosan hydrogel
초록 Nanoporous chitosan hydrogel was prepared using the fumed silica. The nano-sized fumed silica entrapped in the chitosan hydrogel was removed in the HF aqueous solution. The results from the swelling kinetics of the hydrogels reveal that the pore hydrogels show the rapid swelling kinetics in comparison with the non-pores hydrogel due to the enhanced surface area from the nanopores. In addition, the swelling ratio of the nanoporous hydrogels at the equilibrium state is greater than that of the nonporous hydrogels, because the porous hydrogels have reservoirs formed by the vacant pore volume.
