제목 Development and characterization of fuel cell electrode using Pt and Pt-Ru zeolite
초록 The catalyst support material used in fuel cell electrode typically consists of carbon particles. Despite that carbon has good electrical conductivity which helps facilitate the passage of protons and electrons, it has several shortcomings. If catalyst nano particles are to be impregnated into the zeolite pore channels, a high specific surface area of zeolite would lead to maximization of catalyst dispersion and the penetration of catalyst to gas diffusion layer would be suppressed because of restricted pore structure of zeolite. The present study describes the preparation of Pt and Pt-Ru catalysts in ZSM-5 zeolite and discusses the activity of such catalysts as fuel cell electrode material.
