Activated carbon was widely used in industrial application such as purification of gas and water, catalyst support and separation process etc., owing to its highly adsorption capacity. In this paper, we prepared from plum-seed by chemical activation with NaOH and KOH as an activation agent at 600℃, 2hr. Preparation process involves the roasting of raw material and carbonization of roasted material followed by chemical activation. The N2-BET specific area, total pore volume and average pore radius by chemical activation with NaOH and KOH were 610~1342m2/g, 0.34~1.12cm3/g and 32~71Å respectively. |
