제목 | A Study on TiO2/Polypyrrole Hybrids; Their Synthesis, Characteristics, and Application to Photovoltaic Materials |
초록 | Titanium dioxide is widely used in photoactive applications such as photocatalyst and n-type electrode in dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical solar cells. In order to apply wide band-gap semiconductor TiO2 with conjugated polymers as components in photovoltaic deivces, large contacting area of pn-heterojunction plays an important role in efficient charge separation and enhancing light-electric conversion efficiency. TiO2-polypyrrole composites for the application to photovoltaic material were synthesized by using sol-gel process, and characterized by SEM, TEM, X-ray, etc. Diverse methods were selected for creation of micro- or nano-sturucture composed of TiO2 and polypyrrole; 1) Polymerization of polypyrrole within TiO2 aerogel prepared by supercritical CO2 drying, 2) sol-gel derived TiO2 in the presence of polypyrrole, 3) simultaneous synthesis of TiO2 and polypyrrole. Through these route, organic/inorganic hybrids having the bicontinous network were objected and investigated. The photovoltaic cells, fabricated by sandwiching the obtained hybrids and composites between ITO and low work-function metals, were tested and modified for raising photoelectric conversion efficiency. |
