We have investigated red materials, which are synthesis of materials, with saturated red emission and high quantum yield. We observed bright red emission centered around 600nm in PL spectra of red materials in CHCl3, in addition, these have red luminescent emission centered at 610-625nm in EL spectra. Although these red materials can be used as a single layer in multi-layer device without doping in host material, these can have high EL efficiency. Red materials have the symmetrical ligand in chemical structure, the ligand emission in the PL show very strong. The ligand conjugation length has a profound effect in luminescent emission. Red series can be expected that the luminescence efficiency depend on phenyl group number of side chain ring. Also, red series with the thiophene groups in side chain ring show peculiar results in electrical characteristics. We demonstrated that the high EL efficiency can be achieved by chemical structure with different conjugation length and molecular steric structures. |
