Verticillium lecanii has been recognized with an entomopathogenic fungus which has high potential ability in biological control of pests. In this study, mass production and formulation of spores were examined for V. lecanii CS-625. Mass production was performed on liquid culture in a bioreactor and also the stability of spores germination was examined against the UV-radiation for formulation. The results showed that operating conditions of 350rpm, 1.0vvm, and batch type culture in bioreactor gave significantly higher spore production of 1.0 ×109 spores/ml, respectively. In formulation, stability for various wetting agents were tested, and the colony germination rate of 99% was rather higher in the presence of EM-APW#2 2. UV-radiation experiments with montmorillonites-Cloisite 6A 1, Cloisite 25A 2, Cloisite 30A 3, SCPX 1374 4 and SCPX 1483 5 were performed. In the result of it, the survival rate of colony with SCPX 1374 4 of 96% was sinificantly higer than any other montmorillonite. |
