Swelling behavior of poly (vinylamine) particles with contents of cross-linking agent |

Uniform poly (vinyl amine) (PVAm) particles having different contents of cross-linking agent were prepared by dispersion polymerization and hydrolysis. To investigate the cross-linking density of the PVAm particles, the swelling ratio in equilibrium state was estimated on the acid condition. The morphology of the PVAm particles was observed by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The presence of amine group in particles was confirmed by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The structural characteristic of PVAm particles was confirmed through confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). Amine moiety was investigated by ninhydrin assay. Swelling behavior of the PVAm particles with contents of cross-linking agent was investigated by optical microscopy. |
