Poly(methyl methacrylate) particles using bifunctional vinyl Urethane macromonomer in the emulsion polymerization |
초록 |
Macromonomer or macromer are relatively new of functionalize category polymer materials having one or more polymerizable end groups. The use of macromonomer provides an alternative route to stabilize polymer colloids in replacement of surfactants or steric stabilizers in emulsion or dispersion polymerization. Bifunctional vinyl urethane macromonomer were synthesized from polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hexamethylene (HDI) with vinyl monomer. This bifunctional vinyl urethane macromonomer were applied to the emulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) using double deionized (DDI) water. PMMA particles were obtained with various concentrations of the bifunctional vinyl urethane macromonomer. |
