Synthesis, Surface modification and characterization of Fe2O3 nanoparticles |

Magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs), γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles is useful because of its excellent ferrimagnetic properties such as information storage, bioprocess, gas sensor, ferrofluids, color imaging and bio sensor. γ-Fe2O3 was synthesized with average particle size of 12nm and carried out surface modification of γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles with aminopropylsily (APS) groups in 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(APTMS) that have both amino and silane group. APS-modified nanoparticles were able to make a polymer by ring open N-carboxylic anhydride easily. Using derivative Lysine and Glutamic acid, APS-modified MNPs carry out the polymerization on its surface. In here, we synthesized γ-Fe2O3 and characterized their properties. |
