In this study, a polydiacetylene(PDA) vesicle has a unique colorimetric property, making blue-to-red color transition upon external stimuli. We have modified the surface of PDA vesicles where biomolecules can be recongnized. Upon binding to biomolecules, color transition was made and can be seen with the naked eyes. In addition, we have encapsulated biofunctional vesicles within hydrogel matrix to give enhanced recognizabiity. With our system, a number of biosensing and biorecognization systems can be realized for practical applications. |
