A simple modification of Nafion for ionic polymer-metal composite(IPMC) by in-situ polymerization of polypyrrole |
| 초록 |
In this study, we modified commercial Nafion membrane with simple in-situ polymerization for application to ion-exchange membrane of IPMC actuator. Simple incorporation of polypyrrole into Nafion membrane was done with oxidative in-situ polymerization to achieve higher performance compared to novel IPMC manufactured from commercial Nafion. The modified membrane was characterized with elemental analysis, ionic conductivity and SEM. The experimental results demonstrated that this simple modification of Nafion could lead to synergistical actuation related to its operating mechanism. |
