제목 Mechanical properties of two-dimensional honeycomb structures with respect of the diameter of holes
초록 In order to study the structure-property relationships of patterned polymer architectures depending on the change of their symmetry, two-dimensional (2D) honeycomb structures were prepared with acrylonitrile butadiene rubber. Utilizing an extensometer, mechanical properties of 2D honeycomb structures were evaluated with respect to the different symmetrical directions and the diameter of holes. Experimental results combined with computer simulations indicate that mechanical properties depend on the axes of the hexagonal symmetry and on the diameter of each hole. Understanding the structure-property relationships of 2D honeycomb structures can pave a new insight for the patterned polymer architectures.
