We studied controlled release of specific drugs by using the nanoporous membrane with various pore sizes. Nanoporous membrane consists of separation layer prepared by PS-b-PMMA copolymer and conventional microfiltration membrane. We found that the rate of the drug release throughout the membrane did not depend on the concentration of drug, namely, zero-order diffusion is achieved. Since the pore size in nanoporous membrane is easily controlled dependant on drugs, the nanoporous membrane could be used for protein delivery device of various bio-molecules. |
