제목 | Synthesis of Carbazole Derivative and its Use in Anionic Copolymerization with styrene |
초록 | Poly(N-vinyl carbazole)(PVK) is well known as an electroluminescent substance. In this respect, N-ethyl-3-vinylcarbazole was obtained from the ‘Wittig reaction’ of phosphonium ylide with 9-ethyl-3-carbazolecaboxaldehyde. The resulting product was purified by column chromatography and recrystallization in absolute ethanol. Butyllithium-initiated (co)polymerization of the carbazole derivative with styrene was performed under high vacuum. The resulting polymers were characterized by 1H-NMR and SEC. In this presentation , We will discuss the reactivity ratios of styrene and the carbazole derivative in organolithium-initiated copolymerization. |
