Living anionic polymerization of ethylene oxide and the chain-end functionalization of the resulting polymer |
초록 |
Anionic polymerization of ethylene oxide and the chain-end functionalization were successfully performed in the mixture of benzene/DMSO at 40℃ for 48h. Especially, the chain-end alkoxyl group in this polymerization system revealed the living character ,i.e, the observation for the linear increase of molecular weight by sequential monomer addition. In this respect, it is expected that the molecular weight of PEO can be readily controlled. The resulting lithium polymeric compound can readily react with trimellitic anhydride chloride resulting in the production of terminally anhydride PEO. PEO-based macroinitiator prepared from the reaction of lithium polymeric compound with 2-bromoisobtyryl bromide can also react with fullerene(C60). In this presentation, we will report the results for the above reaction. |
