Properties of Chitosan-Linolate-Poly(ethylene oxide) Hydrogel |

Chitosan-PEO gel was fabricated via the method of Michael type addition reaction after grafting of linoleic acid to the chitosan via EDC chemistry. A self-crosslinking hydrogel was achieved by mixing the chitosan-linolate solution with a PEO-thiol solution. Chitosan-PEO hydrogel were evaluated by FT-IR, NMR, XPS, swelling, degradation and SEM. Further analyses were performed with the rheometer for the tests of the dynamic process of hydrogel formation. |
