Photoluminescent surface-modified polyacrylonitrile nanoparticles were synthesized for selective copper ion detection. After surface modification, the fluorescence intensity decreased and emission peak shifted when polyacrylonitrile nanoparticles detected copper ion. With the exception of copper ion, no significant fluorescence intensity changes were observed in the experiments with the other metal ions. Furthermore, this proposed strategy can offer a rapid, reliable, and selective detection of copper ions with a detection limit of 10 nM. |
