In organic light-emitting diode (OLED) device fabrication processes, solution processing has many advantages over vacuum processing, such as the lower cost of fabrication and the potential for large area fabrication by printing. Cross-linkable hole-transporting layer (HTL) is especially important in such solution-processable OLEDs, because multi-layered structure is essential to achieve high performance of the devices. In this study, we synthesized new photo cross-linkable TFB (an alternative copolymer of fluorene and triphneylamine) derivatives which can be applied to the HTL of solution-processable OLEDs. The chemical and physical properties of the monomers and the polymers were characterized by NMR, GPC, UV-vis. absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and etc. The polymer films showed good solvent resistance after cross-linking. The OLED devices including the new cross-linkable HTL polymers were also fabricated and characterized. |
